Manufacturing in the United States is crucial for energy security.
Over the past two decades, the U.S. outsourced renewable energy
production to China,
leaving it vulnerable to geopolitical
tensions and supply chain disruptions,
as highlighted by COVID-19.
Currently, over 90% of solar panels and components are made in China.
