Michael Edgar

Michael is a seasoned development consultant and licensed architect with over 30 years of
experience in creating meaningful economic opportunities for small to medium-sized
businesses. Formerly President of GWDC, he initiated transformative programs in
entrepreneurial development, access to capital, and catalytic real estate development.

He expanded GWDC's "SelectChicago" program to include 80+ local municipalities and over 50
international trade offices. Appointed to the U.S. Investment Advisory Council for 2022, he
advised the U.S. Secretary of Commerce on improving US foreign direct investment strategies.
Michael holds multiple active architecture licenses and an NCARB Certificate ensuring
seamless cross-jurisdiction practice.
